What lies beneath?

It is an exploration of the objectification of people through photography. A journey into our perceptions of the worth of those we see in the photographs we view. Each day we view photographs and images of people but rarely do we actually stop to give them a value as a human being. They are an image, an item to be bought and sold and viewed like a possession. We do not care if they laugh or cry or what their thoughts and emotions may be.

Limited and restricted.

Surrealism has inspired this project; I have developed a series of photographs using hands tied with chain and rope looking into the idea of what I dream of and a sense of desire. In these photographs I as the photographer am showing how I feel trapped, tied down and attempting to break free. It is time for me to take my work to the next level I feel that I need to take a bigger step in life to get my work in to the world.

“Splashes Of Color Everywhere” is editorial fashion work based on different Spring/Summer 2012 fashion trend reports.
According to Copenhagen International Fashion Fair reports for Spring/Summer 2012: “This is the call for pure relaxation and cheerfulness: a joyous escape from everyday life. Take up the colors of summer and the codes of seductiveness and give them a joyful spin, without fear of being over the top. “

According to Vogue Bambini magazine fashion reports for spring/summer 2012: “there is a desire for elegance with the cocktail dress and micro or macro butterfly bow accompanied with festive atmosphere.”

I took a freedom to interpret these reports to a colorful and energetic photo shoot, focusing on movement and festive atmosphere.

This is an example of one of the pieces from my exhibition work. The work is influenced by the dutch masters paintings, but with a modern twist using photography.

The art of creating nude consists the ability of extracting model's beauty and make every body interesting. In my work I tried to show that nude photography can be about beauty of the human form, about shape, can induce positive emotions about our own bodies which most people are not happy about.

‘Goddesses’ is an allegorical representation of my relationship with the feminine; it is both a celebration and accusation of my own ideals and conceptions. These are the women of fantasy, created through artistic vision, that exist in depths of my psyche. The works draw upon visions and memories from the more formative years of my adolescence, heroines from comic books and the myths of history that have since remained hidden in the shadows of my ideals. These characters are stereotypically portrayed as overtly sexually and yet each of them represents so much more. Every one of these figures possesses qualities that make them unique celebrations of the feminine. Beyond the superficial visual layers are issues of identity and representation. Those ideals are predominantly set by the male and yet ironically, when given ultimate freedom the depictions are in contradiction with the cultural ideals projected by the fashion and advertising industries. Further still we find the myths of heroism, strengths and attributes of sexuality and character, of maternal, matriarchal and matrimonial loyalties and sacrifices and active and passive roles co-existing in constant contradiction.
